The hotel was very close to the rail station, staff were friendly and helpfull. Rooms were clean and tidy and the main square and many restaurants were close by. I would stay here again.

We were looking for a centrally located hotel in Montpellier and the Royal met our needs, its a 3 minute walk from the train station and 2 minute walk to the Comedie. The room was clean, quiet and air conditioned. We did not used any of the facilities as we arrived late and left very early.

The room had a nice coffee set up and a convenient telephone, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful in providing local tips, plus it's only a 10 km drive to the airport.

The location was excellent, just a block from shopping, cafes and park. Rooms were large by french standards and fairly attractive. Bathrooms were modern and large. Rooms were very quiet with windows closed and air conditioning on. Staff was very courteous and helpful. they all spoke excellent English. We didn't have breakfast there, so can't comment on that.

Location excellent just down from the big square Place de La Comedie easy to park there etc then explore the old town
Sound proofing could be better but not the worst by any stretch

An excellent location halfway from the railway station and Place de la Comédie. The room was quiet, the bathroom spacious, tidy and modern. Breakfast ok.
